Tours, Carnivals and Grape Soda

After the success of the Lungs tour we can now announce that we will be heading off again in July and August to play a 40 date tour across the UK. We can’t wait to see the beautiful Scottish countryside again and return to some of the other cities and towns we were lucky enough to visit last time.

On the next tour we have quite a few interesting gigs already booked including a High School Prom in Clacton, Essex. Amongst many other great achievements Clacton was the birth place of Interpol’s lead singer and maybe more importantly Favourite Chicken(the UK’s tastiest chicken) We suffered quite a bit on tour last time from appalling diets and a bit too much fun with sweet Mary Jane, but I think we may have found a solution to our troubles… Grape Soda! If you have yet to try this wonderful delicious Caribbean treat then go now and do so.

Until then we have quite a bit to look forward to in the mean time. At the moment we’re recording two brand new singles, which we can’t wait to finish and release. Hopefully we’ll have some clips up on MySpace soon.

Now that its festival season we have been invited to play a few. The first is at Luton’s massive Caribbean style Carnival on the Last day of May. We played Notting Hill Carnival last year and that included Sun, Chicken, Big Booty’s, Beer and the herb so if Luton’s Carnival is similar then we will be very happy. One last piece of news is that we will be gracing two Festivals in our hometown Ipswich. The First will be the Swanfest which we are extremely excited about as The Swan is probably the most important venue and pub in Ipswich so we’re honoured to be part of that. Then the next day we will be playing Ipswich Music In The Park which will be a brilliant occasion, we’re hoping to add a few treats into our set for this so if your there make sure you don’t miss us. That’s just about it for now, more news soon we hope.

Next Blog will be up at the end of the week talking about our $tudio Experiences.

Reason for Optimism

Now that summer seems to have finally arrived and plans are being made for the long summer months we feel a real sense of optimism here in camp ideals.
On Monday we signed our first professional management agreement with our new label and managers Intruder Records, we celebrated accordingly by heading to south west London to a beautiful little spot over looking Richmond Park, we drank and smoked long into the night and we were treated to a lovely sunset, our debut single Lungs was also released so smiles all round.
The next day we had a photo shoot just off Brick Lane and showcased our new songs to our producers who developed some wonderful ideas for the production of the new songs. This brings us on to the exciting news that we will be recording two brand new songs next week starting Monday 24th. So far we only have one title for the new songs one of which will be called Forever Leisure; the other song doesn’t have a confirmed name yet but it’s currently under the working title of No More Dead Cops which is a reference from the amazing Batman film The Dark Knight, but we might change it on release.
Oh and one last piece of news! Some of you may be familiar with Spotify... well we’re on it at last. Lungs and These Seasons are both on their free to stream for your lucky ears but there’s one slight problem. Instead of being listed as Ideals which would make sense we’re on it as The I-Deals this will be changed but for now head over to spotify and give them a listen. We’ll be back soon with more news of recording and videos etc.
